Basic Information regarding Exam

Coast Guard invites applications from current Commercial Pilot Licence holders and Graduates with Mathematics and Physics to become a Class I Gazetted Officer as Assistant Commandant (General Duty-Pilot/Navigator). The recruitment is done twice every year for courses beginning in the months of January/February and July.

Age limit
19 to 27 years as on July 1 of the year of admission (32 years for SCI ST). Ex-Servicemen are eligible for relaxation of upper age limit as admissible.

Minimum Educational Qualification
(For female Pilots only): Passed 12th Class and possess current Commercial Pilot Licence on the date of commencement of training (Graduates preferable) OR (For male Pilot-Navigator) Passed BSc with Physics and Mathematics.

Details Regarding Selection Procedure

Physical Standards
(a) Height : Minimum 162 cms (males) and 162.5 cms (females). Maximum 197 cms.Leg Length: Minimum 99 cms (maximum 120cms for females) (for Pilot-Navigator only).
(b) Weight : Maximum 91 kgs.
(c) Chest : Wel1 proportioned, minimum expansion 5 cms.
(d) Eye Slight : 6/6 (both eye) without glasses.
