Applications are invited for the above course beginning in May and October from male Indian citizens who are Engineering Graduates (including temporary Central/ State Govt servants, serving personnel of the regular Army and Territorial Army (including Officers of Territorial Army) and serving personnel of Navy and Air Force) for Short-Service Commission Technical (SSC Tech) Course for commission in the Army in;

(i) Corps in Engineers,
(ii) Corps of Signals, and
(iii) Corps of Electrical and Mechanical Engineers (EME).

Nationality
Indian citizen as per the constitution.

Age limit
20 to 27 years as on the date of commencement of the course.

Minimum Educational Qualification
Degree in Engineering or equivalent Degree from a recognised University in Civil/Electrical/Mechanical/ Telecommunicatiun/ Electrical & Electronics/Computer Science/Engineering/ Technology / Architecture/Industrial/Manufacturing/production.

Other Information
Initial Screening and shortlisting of applicants will be done at Recruiting Directorate Army Headquarters. Candidates whose applications are found in order shall be detailed to appear at Services Selection Board on a specified date where they will be required to undergo Group Tests, Psychological Tests and an Interview which may extend for a duration of five days excluding the day of reporting at the Services Selection Centre.

Two Stage Selection Procedure : Two Stage selection procedure based on Psychological Aptitude Test has been introduced at Selection Centres.All the candidates will face stage one test on first day of reporting at Selection Centres. The candidates who qualify at stage one, will be admitted to the second stage/remaining tests and all those who fail to pass stage one, will be returned. Candidates applying for Military Farms category who qualified SSB interview will be required to be technically interviewed by Military Farms Directorate. The order of merit in respect of candidates for Military Farms will be therefore decided after they have qualified at the Services Selection Board Interview and also been cleared by the Department Screening Board.
