Applications are invited from unmarried male candidates for the grant of Permanent Commission in the ArmyTechnicamranch, for course commencing in January.

Age limit
Above 16 1/2 years and below 19 1/2 years on the fIrst day of the month in which the course in commencing.

Minimum Educational Qualification
Candidates who have 10+2 (PCM) Certificate with minimum 70% aggregate marks in PCM shall be eligible for this entry.

Physical Standards
Height 4nd Weight: Minimum height 157 cm with correlated weight and proportionate chest with minimum 5 cm expansion. Eyesight: Unaided distant vision 6/12,6/18.

Apply as and when the notification is published in Employment News/Leading Newspapers usually in the month ofMarch/ April/May.

Other Information
Short-listed candidates will be called for Service Selection Board (SSB) Interviews at Bhopal, Bangalore or Allahabad. Duration of SSB Interviews is five days excluding day of arrival. During their stay at SSB, candidates are put through Psychological Tests, Group Tests and Interviews. Successful candidates at the SSB will be required to undergo medical tests lasting 3 to 5 days less Sundays and Gazetted holidays. Candidates recommended by the SSB and declared medically fit, will be nominated for training in the order of merit.

Type of Commission
(a) On successful completion of course, cadets will be granted Permanent Commission in the Army in Technical branches, i.e., EME, Signals and Corps of Engs. Candidates will be commissioned in the rank of Lt after successful completion of training as given below:

Training : Total training will be 5 years.
(a) Basic Military Training : 1 year at IMA, Dehradun.

(b) Technical Training :
(i) Phase I-(Pre-Commission Training): 3 years at anyone of the following colleges viz College of Military Engg. Pune/Military College of Electrical and Mechanical Engineers at Secunderabad/Military College or Telecommunication Engineering at Mhow.
(ii) Phase II-(Post-Commission Training)- 1 year at institutions, given above.

(c) Award of Degree : The candidates will be awarded Engineering Degree after successful completion of Phsse II of Training. No ante date Will be admissible to candidate on account of this Engineering Degree. (Information compiled from Vidyapatha.com)
