Basic Information regarding Exam

It is an autonomous institution, fully financed by the Government of India, Department of Culture. The School invites applications for admission to three-year Diploma Course (full time and residential) in Dramatic Arts. The course aims at development of a theatre personality by imparting training in acting, design and other disciplines related to theatre. Medium of instruction is bilingual. Intake is 20.

Age limit
18 to 30 years. Upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST.

Minimum Educational Qualification
1. Graduation in any subject from a recognised University in India.
2. Participation in at least 10 productions. 3. Working Knowledge of Hindi and English.

How to Apply
Candidates should apply in response to the advertisement of School which is generally published in February/March every year by the National School of Drama, Bhawalpur House, Bhagwan Das Road, New Delhi-ll0001.

Other Information
A preliminary test will be conducted at four specified Centres in India and those who qualify this test will have to attend a workshop of 3 to 5 days in school premises for their final selection.
