Hindustan Petroleum is a leading Public Sector Enterprise in Schedule' A' , engaged in the refining, distribution and marketing of petroleum products, with two Fuel refineries at Mumbai and Visakhapatnam, a Lube refinery .at Mumbai, and a vast marketing network of installations, Depots, LPG Bottling Plants, Aviation Service Stations, Regional and Zonal Offices, spread throughout the country. To fill in entry level vacancies in Management Cadre, Hindustan Petroleum invites applications from Indian Nationals for the positions of Officer Trainees whenever the vacancies arise.

Age limit
Upper age limit for Engineering Graduates is 25 years and for Non- Engineering Post-Graduates 27 years, as on March I, of the year of examination. (Relaxable by 5 years for SC/STs).

Minimum Educational Qualification
First Class Bachelor's Degree in Engineering in the disciplines of Chemical/Mechanical/Electrical/Civil/ Instrumentation/Electronics/Metallurgy OR First Class Post-Graduate Degree in Arts, Commerce, Science in the subjects of Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Economics, Political Science, English Literature, Accounting, Costing, Banking, Insurance, Business Administration, Computer Applications, Industrial Relations, Personnel Management and Labour Welfare from a recognised University. Final Year students are also eligible to apply. However, they will be interviewed only on production of evidence of having passed their examination in First Class before June 30 of the year of examination. SC/ST candidates with pass Class are eligible to apply.

Other Information
Eligible candidates are required to appear for a Written Examination. Instructions regarding the examination will be intimated to eligible candidates individually. Candidates shortlisted in the Written Test will be required to appear for Group Task/Discussion and Personal Interview. On the basis of their performance in the Interview, cimdidates will be selected in the order of merit, subject to medical fitness. Undergoing medical examination does not mean automatic selection.

Training and Placement
Selected candidates will initially undergo training for one year, and will receive a monthly consolidated stipend. On successful completion of training, they will be absorbed on a six-month probation, in the Management cadre on a basic salary and other benefits as per the Corporation's policies as applicable from time to time. Posting can be either in the Headquarters Office, Refineries or Marketing Division.
