Basic Information regarding Exam

Applications are invited from male candidate for the post of
A. Inspector (Fire),
B. Sub-Inspector (Mech/Fire), and
C. Sub-Inspector (Fire) in the CISF Fire Wing.

Age limit
For Category A : Maximum 30 years on January 1.
For Categories B and C : Minimum 19 years and maximum 25 years on January I. ( 5 years relaxation in all the categories for SC/ST/CISF Departmental candidates).

Minimum Educational Qualification
For Category A : (i) (a) Bachelor's Degree of a recognised University or equivalent,
(b) Passed Station Officer Course from the National Fire Service College or equivalent; and Five years experience in a regular fire service in a rank not below that of a Sub-Officer or equivalent or
(ii) Bachelor of Engineering (Fire) or equivalent.

For Category B : Essential : Matriculation or equivalent and 3 years Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Automobile Engineering or equivalent examination passed from a recognised University or Board/Institution.

For Category C : Essential: A Degree in Science with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics of a recognised University or equivalent OR Matriculation or equivalent and 3 years Diploma in Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, Automobile, Chemical, Mining, Aeronautical, Telecommunication Engineering or equivalent examination passed from a recognised University or Board/Institution.

For Categories B & C : Desirable :
(i) Having passed fire-fighting course from a recognised Institution.
(ii) Proficiency in Games, Sports and Athletics, Membership of National Cadet Corps. Physical Standards and Visual Standards: (for all categories): Same as for male candidates in CISF ASI (Clerk/Typist) and SI (Steno). The candidates should not have knock knee, flat feet and certain mentioned deformities.

Apply in prescribed proforma along with other requirements as and when given in the advertisement published in Employment News/Leading Newspapers.

Other Information
All the candidates are called for a Written Examination in General Knowledge, IQ and Language (Hindi/English); Physical Efficiency Test (PET); and Interview. Those who qualify shall have to undergo a thorough Medical Examination under the arrangements of the Department to determine their medical fitness for appointments.
