Applications are invited from male Indian citizens for the posts of SI/JE (Civil), SI/ JE (Elect) in the BSF, Ministry of Home Affairs, Govt of India.

Age limit
18 to 25 years and relaxable by 5 years in the case of SC/ST. Age relaxation as per rules upto 35 years in the case of Central Government servants.

Minimum Educational Qualification
Three years diploma in Engineering (Civil/ Elect) recognised by State Board of Technical Education.

Physical Standards
Minimum height 167.5 cms, minimum chest measurements 81 cms unexpanded, with 5 cms minimum expansion. Height relaxable by 5 cms in the case of candidates belonging to hill Tribes and Adivasis.

Prescribed application format filled in candidates own handwriting accompanied by required testimonials as and when published in Employment News/ Leading Newspapers may be sent to the Asst. Director (Works), Engineering Directorate, Border Security Force, 10, CGO Complex, lodhi Road, New Delhi - 110003 by the specified last date.

Other Information
Candidates found eligible and suitable will be called for II selection at chosen places. A Test of 2 hours duration followed by Physical Test shall be held in respect of candidates found eligible. Selected candidates will have to undergo basic training and such other courses as prescribed in the force from time to time.

Note : On joining BSF a candidate shall be governed by the BSF Act and Rules as applicable to BSF personnels and as amended from time to time. The personnels are liable to be posted anywhere in India. (Information compiled from Vidyapatha.com)
