Applications are invited by the Ministry of Home Affairs, Govt of India, for the post of Security Assistant (General) in the Intelligence Bureau.

Age limit
18 to 27 years of age. Upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST; also relaxable for Ex-Servicemen and Central Government servants according to Govt orders in force.

Minimum Educational Qualification
Matriculation or equivalent. Candidates whose results have not been declared need not apply. They wil be t:equired to produce the original certificate when called for the Interview.

Note : In view of the nature of the duties involved Physically Handicapped persons cannot be considered for the post.

Only those candidates who come upto a specific standard following a preliminary screening of applications depending upon the numb~r of vacancies, will be called for a Written Test in 'General Knowledge' (0jective type). Those candidates who acquire a specific standard in the Written Test will be Interviewed subsequently, which will be intimated to such candidates. Success in the selection confers no right to appointment unless Govt is satisfied after such enquiry, as may be considered necessary that the candidate is suitable in all respects for appointment to the post.
