The Commission holds a combined competitive Written Examination for the posts of Information Assistants in the Govt of India Tourist Offices, Dept of Tourism, Govt of India.

Age limit
21 to 25 years (upper age limit is 28 years for OBC and 30 years for SC/ST).

Minimum Educational Qualification
(i) Degree.
(ii) General Knowledge and familiarity with places of Tourist interest in India.
(iii) Knowledge of various places of Indian History, Architecture both ancient and modern.

DESIRED : Knowledge of specified foreign language other than English and experience in travel or publicity firm.

Examination Fee
Rs. 25/- (no fee for SC/ST/PH/Ex-S).

Interivews Test/ Personality Test
Candidates shortlisted on the basis of their educational qualifications, academic records, percentage of marks, etc. may be required to undergo a Written Proficiency Test. Those who qualify are called for Interview. Final selection is done on All India basis in order of merit as disclosed by the aggregate marks in Proficiency Test and Interview.
