Applications are invited from male and female Indian citizens for the post of Inspector (Hindi Translator) in the Indo- Tibetan Border Police.

Age limit
20 to 30 years, 45 years for SC/ST, 43 years for OBC and 40 years for Govt Servants.

Minimum Educational Qualification
Master's Degree in Hindi/English with Hindi as a Compulsory/Elective subject as medium of examination at Degree level. OR Master's Degree in any subject other than Hindi/English with Hindi and English as compulsory/elective subject or either of the two as medium of examination and the other as a compulsory)/elective subject at Degree level. OR Bachelor's Degree with Hindi and English as compulsory/elective subjects or either of the two as medium of examination and the other as a compulsory/elective subject, plus a recognised Diploma/Certificate Course in Translation from Hindi to English and vice versa or four years experience of translation work from Hindi to English and vice versa in Central/State Government Offices including Government of India Undertakings.

Other Information
All eligible candidates will be put through a Physical Efficiency Test. Those who qualify will be put to Written Test in General English, Hindi and General Knowledge followed by Trade Test in Translation from English to Hindi and vice versa.
