Applications invited for scholarships
Scholarships will be given to the students who have completed their PUC second year, belonging to Shukla Yajurveda community, in Kolar district. The scholarships will be given in memory of Ghattu Ramachandra Rao and Ghattu Vasudeva Rao. The scholarships will be presented to the students on November 17, as a part of the first day of Yagnavalkya Jayanthothsava which will be held at Suryanarayanaswamy Temple at Kumberpet here.
A press note issued by the community leader Bangarpet Ravi stated that the scholarship would be based on merit and the students should be certified by two members of the community.
The candidates should send in their applications along with their marks cards by November 10, addressed to Mandikal Purhsothama, Vishvanatha Nilaya, Shivakeshavanagar, Mulbagal town or to G N Ramanatha Rao, Assistant Teacher, Varasiddhi Vinayaka High School, Nangli, Mulbagal taluk, according to a press note issued here on Sunday.
