All the four nationalised insurance companies under the platform of General Insurers’ (Public) Sector Association (Gipsa) met Union finance minister P Chidambaram to apprise him of the “bleeding motor third party portfolio” issue of the general insurance industry. Gipsa chairman HS Wadhwa said, “We have represented the problem of unlimited liability of motor third party insurance to the FM and asked him to look into the matter.”
