Ghaziabad: In a shocking incident, a girl was allegedly raped in basement of a mall in Ghaziabad. The girl, who is a resident of Delhi, personally knew the three accused youth and had gone partying with them.

They first partied at the EDM mall and then proceeded to Mahagun Metro mall, where the girl was raped at gunpoint inside a Scorpio SUV owned by one of the accused that was parked in the basement of the mall.

The police are conducting raids across various locations; the girl has been sent for medical examination.

The incident has posed serious questions marks on the safety situation in the national capital region (NCR), particularly in Ghaziabad which is steadily emerging as the next big boom town.
