New Delhi: Social activist Anna Hazare continued with his indefinite hunger-strike Monday with a low turnout at his ongoing anti-graft rally at Jantar Mantar here.

The 75-year-old Hazare looked fit on the second day of his fast that he started Sunday.

According to a health bulletin issued by the India Against Corruption (IAC), the group that supports Hazare, the septuagenarian's blood pressure was recorded normal with pulse rate stable at 89.

His blood sugar level was normal at 98.

Hazare and his core team members Arvind Kejriwal, Manish Sisodia, Gopal Rai and Prashant Bhushan reached the venue around 11 in the morning with his supporters raising slogans of "Bharat Mata ki Jai", "Vande Mataram" and "Inquilab Zindabad".

Kejriwal, Sisodia and Rai went on an indefinite fast July 25.

The activists want the government to concede the demand for a more stringent Lokpal law that would create an all-powerful anti-graft ombudsman in India.

They also want the government to create a special probe panel to investigate graft allegations against 15 ministers, including Prime Minister Manmohan Singh.

This is the fourth time that Hazare has launched an indefinite fast since April last year.

According to IAC, five of Hazare's supporters who were also fasting were hospitalised Sunday night after their health deteriorated.
