Achuthanandan stopped from proceeding to Kudankulam

Kudankulam: Former Kerala chief minister VS Achuthanandan, who was on his way to join the Kudankulam protest at the nuclear reactor site, has been stopped. The police stopped him at Kalikavil near the Kerala-Tamil Nadu border. The senior Kerala CPM leader was not allowed to proceed to Kudankulam by the police.

Meanwhile, PMANE activist SP Udayakumar's wife Meera has appeared in a Valliyoor court. The anti-nuke activist was summoned by the court.

The Kudankulam protestors had last week turned the protest into a 'Jal Satyagraha' with hundreds of villagers protesting in the sea water.
