New Delhi : They called it the game changer, Government’s direct cash transfer scheme has promised to have an impact on the masses - and even the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is sensing it. The principal Opposition party is unhappy with the timing of the move - fearing it could favour the Congress immediately in poll bound states and more importantly ahead of 2014.BJP has now decided to take the matter to the Election Commission, calling it a poll code violation as four of the 51 districts selected by the Government for direct cash transfer fall in poll-bound Gujarat. With Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) in retail out the way, if the Government was hoping Parliament would function smoothly in the remainder of the Winter Session - the Government’s direct cash transfer could just change the game.
