Lucknow : A 35-year-old man was allegedly shot dead by three persons in Nagram police circle over a dispute regarding a plot of land. A murder case was lodged after the victim’s body was found in forest area in Nagram with five bullets injuries on Sunday.
The victim was identified as Santosh Pal of Garib Khera under Nagram police circle. The body was noticed by the local residents who then informed the police. It was then found out that the victim was a resident of Garib Khera.
Later the family members of the victim were searched for and told about the matter. The victim’s brother Guddu Pal told the cops that his family was engaged in dispute with another family, members of whom allegedly shot dead his brother.
Guddu accused Santosh Pal, his brother Jaishankar Pal and their father Mata Prasad of the crime, saying that their family was having a dispute with them over plot of land in their village which each claimed was theirs.
Guddu said that his brother Santosh left the house on Saturday evening and was last seen at a restaurant in the village but did not return home. In the morning, his body was found in a forest area in Ram Baksh Khera with at least five bullet injuries.
The body was sent for post mortem examination and a case in the connection was lodged against the three accused. However till the time of going to press, none of the accused had been arrested.(TOI)
