The axis of monsoon trough at sea level continues to pass through foothills of the Himalayas. Yesterday’s cyclonic circulation over Bangladesh and adjoining Gangetic West Bengal extending upto mid-tropospheric level, persists. Under this scenario, fairly widespread rainfall activity with isolated heavy to very heavy falls is likely over northeastern states, West Bengal & Sikkim, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand during next 2-3 days.

Numerical Weather Prediction models suggest sub-dued rainfall activity likely over central & west India during next 3-4 days.

The off-shore trough at sea level from Karnataka coast to Kerala coast persists and it is likely to cause fairly widespread rainfall with isolated heavy falls over Coastal Karnataka, Kerala and Lakshadweep during next 3-4 days.

Rain/thundershowers at many places are likely over Jammu division of Jammu & Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand and West Uttar Pradesh.

Rain/thundershowers are likely at a few places over the rest region.

East India : (EAST UP, BIHAR, JHARKHAND, WEST BENGAL & SIKKIM, ORISSA)

Rain/thundershowers are likely at many places over West Bengal & Sikkim, north Orissa, Bihar, Jharkhand and East Uttar Pradesh.

Rain/thundershowers are likely at a few places over the rest region.

NorthEast India : (Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, NMM & T)
